So its winter here in Oz and all you want to do is stay in and EAT, EAT, EAT!!
Breakfast is probably my favourite meal of the day and I try to add as much “good stuff” as I can 🙂 My usual go to breaky (and obsession of late) is good, old Vegemite on toast (multigrain) with avocado on top and then chia seeds sprinkled over that………YUM, YUM, YUM!!!
Then I make my power, morning smoothie of the following delicious ingredients:
– One banana
– Tablespoon of chia seeds
– Table spoon of flax-seeds (make sure they are ground as the body can not absorb whole ones)
– Soy milk (with fortified B12)
– 2 HEAPED tablespoons of pea protein (all essential amino acids present yippee)
– Drizzle of organic agave nectare
– a teaspoon of Spirulina
This breaky is chocka block full of protein, fibre, healthy fats, B Vitamins, iron…..the list goes on……and IT IS DELISH!!!!! YOU MUST TRY IT!
Choosing to be vegan does not mean I have to miss out and now I enjoy my morning ‘breaking of the fast’ more and more as time goes on. Here are some delish breakfast ideas below for you 🙂
